Citadel was a prototype done in 3 weeks time initially, though later functionality was expanded adding 1 week to the development time period. The game is controlled via an Akai LPD8 MIDI Controller, using pads to control movement, cannon fire, and special weapon abilities. Knob functionality was later added, allowing the player to highlight lanes of attack to activate a freeze ability, stopping enemies in place. 


I created all of the assets used and code, apart from a MIDI Bridge used to communicate between Unity and the MIDI Pad, developed by Keijiro Takahashi. The goal of this prototype was to emulate a more arcade feel with gameplay similar to the arcade classic Tempest.
